HEA is a great (temporary) home for pets. Lots of room to roam, lots of loving volunteers & warm, safe living quarters.
The most caring, loving group of volunteers, giving every animal the opportunity to be all they can be.
Great sanctary with wonderful staff that lives unsite to take care of the animals. And great volunteers that come help out. The best place beside a home these animals could be. :)
This in not at all what a sanctuary is ment to be. Wow, I went to the main facility in Marion and was horrified at the conditions that the animals had to endure. Over crowding was just the beginning, the smell of urine and feces was unbreathable. I was so sorry that those anomals had to live in those conditions. Some of them had been there over 10 years in that filth. There were close to 200 dogs and cats living there with only 2 people to take care of them. This is a hoarding situation, I tried contacting agencys to get the animals out but wisconsin has no laws to protect them. Please think carefully before dealing with this place. It needs to be shut down and give those poor animals a chance at a life outside those closets they stuff them in. Th e Ashwaubenon center is a cover for what is really happening in Marion.
Great owner. Great voulenteers. Safe place for animals till they get their forever home.
